Had an appointment yesterday and everything seems to be going well. I'm not having any contractions yet but I have been having cramping, which means my body is prepping to have this baby. The baby's heartbeat was strong and when the doctor checked to see if I had any dilation, Mini gave her a big kick. As of yesterday, I was 1 centimeter dilated with a good start on effacement but Mini hasn't dropped yet so we've still got some time.
After the appointment, my mum and I wondered around Rodeo Drive for a while. We went into Ralph Lauren because they have a baby section. So many cute, tiny, preppy clothes! Mum found a dress for herself that was on sale for half off... only $559. What a deal! That's about when we decided to go home.
Last night our childbirth class instructor came over to do a review with us. We'll be the last people in our class to have a baby. It's interesting to practice for something you've never experienced. After we were done with the review and practice, we showed her the baby hammock all set up. She was very impressed. I wonder if people in LA start buying them, if we can get a commission for getting it all started! :)
Good to hear you're getting ready gradually and steadily. As much as I can't wait to find out who this is, I want it to be as easy on you as possible. I miss you bunches and can't wait to see you (AND MINI!) in March.
